Salary: $16.12 - $20.20/ hour, based on qualifications, plus benefits
Coordinates the efforts of content contributors from across campus to ensure that clean content is produced and leveraged throughout the site via content management system technologies. Also provides editorial and branding training and support for all web contributors on an ongoing basis.
Prefer bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising or English or related degree. Must have some relevant experience in corporate environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of:
* Best practices in information architecture, content development, and content delivery on the Web; prevailing editorial standards (AP style, University of Chicago style);
* Knowledge of Dreamweaver or equivalent HTML editors, Flash, Image editors, accessibility standards, web standards and HTML mark-up languages, Java script, and dynamic scripting languages.
* Digital photography and understanding of image preparation for web content.
* Supervisory techniques; and computer software systems and applications (word processing, presentation software, diagramming and layout software).
Ability to: Organize, coordinate and manage multiple projects;
* Develop innovative ideas for delivering information in a Web environment;
* Establish Web standards for the University and maintain best practices;
* Coordinate content for all academic colleges and administrative units; monitor the site for duplication or inaccuracies;
* Effectively edit other writers work for style, accuracy, University standards and brand messaging;
*Provide editorial and branding training and support for all Web contributors; and meet competing deadlines.
