Position Summary:
Programs and Services Director
The Programs and Services Director (Director) assures YWCA Billings’ programs and services meet the organization’s mission, support its strategic plan, and further its vision. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director oversees the implementation and evaluation of YWCA Billings’ programs which include Transitional and Emergency Services, Housing and Facilities, and Child Center. There is a heavy emphasis on team management and development, and establishing standards of performance across all programs and the grants that fiscally support those programs.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)
• Gateway Shelter and Transitional Services
‒ Supervise Shelter Advocates, and Case Management, Clinical Services, and Legal Services Coordinators, and work with them to maintain quality, trauma-informed shelter and transitional services for survivors of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Human Trafficking and Stalking
‒ Work with COO to ensure all programs meet grant requirements and goals
• Fulfill Program and Services Director responsibilities for Gateway Vista and Housing First
‒ Oversee Housing program to ensure YWCA follows a Housing First philosophy when providing services
‒ Work with property management company to assure housing operations and facility management are on target
‒ Work to ensure YWCA remains a leader in the Housing First Affordable Housing movement in the community
• Manage Child Center
‒ Oversee and supervise YWCA’s Child Center pre-K program and Nutrition for Learning program
‒ Work with child center staff regarding staffing, curriculum, enrollment, billing, collections, etc.
‒ Work to ensure YWCA obtains and maintains STARS to Quality rating
Skills, Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Five to ten years’ experience in program delivery and management, personnel supervision, and adherence to grant fulfillment
• Strong project management skills in managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth
• Self-starter, able to take direction but also able to work independently and self-manage projects to successful completion.
• Ability to work in a high-performing, constructive environment working collaboratively with leadership and staff as well as with involved agencies and other non-profits in our service sector
• Strength in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to elevate their performance.
• Excellent and productive verbal and written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, kindness, and a commitment to and passion for YWCA Billings’ mission and vision and those we serve.
