Internship
Guided by its mission of "changing lives by improving wellness," the California Health Collaborative (CHC) collaborates with local communities to implement a wide range of innovative and culturally responsive community health solutions which improve the lives of those served. The CHC - Unidos Por Salud Project is a tobacco prevention program serving the Central Valley and is dedicated to reducing tobacco-related health disparities and inequities, primarily among the Hispanic/Latino population. The program provides services to communities in Merced, Mariposa, Madera, Fresno, Tulare, Kings, and Kern County.
The Central Valley Tobacco Control Policy (CVTCP) Internship Program was established to provide opportunities for college/university students to become directly involved in creating policy change, preparing and engaging undergraduate college students in the public health field, and reducing tobacco-related health disparities in the Central Valley.
This is a paid internship opportunity for undergraduate students with a passion for serving and reducing health disparities negatively impacting Hispanic/Latinos in the Central Valley. Students will be directly involved in creating policy change and implementing public health intervention activities.
