- Summary: Will utilize high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical diagnosis. Will evaluate normal and abnormal anatomy and pathology to produce images for interpretation by a radiologist with findings documented using PACS, Kinetics, color images, or a combination of these. Will use independent judgment and initiative to determine if additional scanning is needed. Will also provide accurate needle guidance during special procedures as directed by physicians.
- Required Qualifications: Completion of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program or equivalent AMA-approved medical program. ARDMS certified or eligible for certification in the categories of physics, abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology, and neurosonology. BLS certification within three months of hire, if not certified upon hire.
- Desired Qualifications: Associate’s degree in a related field. Completion of a formal AMA-approved ultrasound program. ARDMS certified or eligible for certification in breast. Two years of experience as an ultrasound technologist.
- Schedule: Casual for call rotation every 3rd weekend and PM weekly call every 3rd week for a 7-day period. Call includes 1-2 holidays/year; 24/7 call on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays; weeknight call starts at 5pm and ends at 7am the following morning.
