Position Summary:
The Project Engineer at TAVIS Corporation will provide management and oversight of projects,
applications and related engineering functions. Under general direction from the Chief Engineer,
manage all aspects of a complicated new product development project.
Typical Duties:
•Develop new products, including design modification and production engineering to meet
or exceed customer specifications.
•Manage all aspects of a complicated new product development project.
•Work with customers to establish and generate specifications.
•Generate reports, drawings and schematics related to product design, development and
testing.
•Management and oversight of projects that are assigned by the Chief Engineer.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Normally, a B.S. or B.A. degree in Engineering.
•Must demonstrate excellent proficiency in writing and communicating using the English
language.
•Analytical problem solver.
•Demonstrated cooperative behavior with colleagues, subordinates and managers.
•Capable of physical requirements of desk/office/computer work; some walking about and
using test or assembly equipment on light-duty manufacturing floor; minimal/lightweight
lifting.
•In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and
eligibility of work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility
verification work form upon hire.
Desired Qualifications:
•B.S. or B.A. degree from ABET accredited college or university in engineering, physics
or mathematics is preferred; however, a combination of education (A.S. or A.A. degree)
and extensive related work experience will be considered.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
•Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems.
ITAR REQUIREMENTS:
•To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful
permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3),
or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
