Evening Reporting Center Supervisor
Function:
Under the supervision of the Director of Mandated Prevention, the Supervisor manages the operations of the ERC assuring that the program accomplishes its mission of serving at risk youth and their families.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a therapeutic, child centered service environment in terms of the after school program
- Implement Sanctuary Principles throughout ERC including conducting Community meetings with staff and youth and families, as well as promoting Safety Plans for all youth, families and staff connected with the ERC
- Oversees the safety and maintenance of the environments within which the ERC operates.
- Relates to the School Principal with regard to environmental concerns
- Supervises the caseworker, and 2 program counselors as well as per diem program counselors who serve as substitutes for the program
- With the Program Counselors and Caseworker develops activity agendas for the youth attending the ERC
- Under the direction of the Prevention Supervisor the ERC attends to maintaining the workforce for the ERC
- Assures that the Caseworker is connecting families with Sanctuary principles
- Schedule staffing assignments according to required ratio
- Oversee program development for the site, scheduling all routines and recreational activities
- Lead the ERC in garnering client satisfaction surveys
- Complete all required documentation and record keeping and ensure that supervisees complete all required documentation and record keeping
- Work collaboratively with Human Resources and the Business Office and ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures
- Participate in required trainings and ensure that supervisees participate in required trainings
- Oversee and participate in deconstruction of serious incidents
- Attends monthly Quality Assurance meetings with the Associate Executive Director for Continuous Quality Improvement
- Process E-Time (on a bi-weekly basis) for staff.
- Additional position-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor of Prevention Services
Position Specifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in human services field with 2 years experience working with youths in a residential setting required.
- Experience working with emotionally disturbed children, preferred
- Advanced leadership abilities
- Clean and valid New York State Driver’s license required
- Become van certified to drive the Agency’s 8-15 passenger vehicles
- Meet the requirements outlined in the Revised Policy for Authorized Agency Drivers
- Ability to maintain professional work relationships with Agency and inter-agency colleagues.
- Demonstrated capacity to assist with the development and implementation of meaningful and pro social activities for youth enrolled in the ERC.
- Capacity to assist the caseworker in the ERC relative to meaningful relationships with families of the youth enrolled in the ERC
