Machine Production Manager

Currently, we are seeking a Machine Production Manager for our Fresno, California office.
Key accountabilities include:
- Implement production performance standards and align the machine production team to achieve those standards.
- Develop and maintain effective training programs, for staff, associated with attaining various positions and all defined levels of job skill.
- Oversee implementation and compliance with all regulatory and corporate Health and Safety standards, recommendations and policies, as applicable to machine production, crating and warehousing operations.
- Lead and direct continuous improvement efforts related to exceeding departmental Key Performance Indicators.
- Assist with setting product quality standards, monitoring quality of products, implementing and enforcing quality controls, tracking programs to meet quality objectives and analyzing production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
- Establish and ensure “best practices” in production through standard work instructions.
- Assist in development, deployment and ongoing support of global production strategies.
- Manage departmental P&L and prepare annual budgets and quarterly updates.
- Assist with machine production, crating or warehousing facilities enhancements and expansions as applicable.
- Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement.
- Assist with setting product quality standards, monitoring quality of products, implementing and enforcing quality controls, tracking programs to meet quality objectives and analyzing production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
- Undertake other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement including coaching, disciplinary actions and performance appraisals.
- Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve goals.
- Review and approve staff time- off request and timecards.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology, Operations Management, Engineering or similar.
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
- Minimum 3 years of experience directly managing production operations.
- Track record of root cause problem solving and lean manufacturing principles implementation.
- Capability of building and developing a team.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- 5+ years of experience directly managing industrial equipment assembly operations.
