Job Description and Duties
As an employee of the facility Level of Care Registry, a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) may be requested to work on any shift, any day of the week and on any residence at the Developmental Center. Under the direction of supervisory staff, the incumbent provides direct care, treatment and developmental services for the clients where assigned. The services provided fall within the scope of the job as specified by the California State Personnel Board.
This is a 12 month Limited-Term position that may be extended to 24 months.
Level of Care Employees will be required to perform the following Essential Functions: Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance; must be able to participate in client containment, intervention or restraint; must have the ability to work extended hours and various shifts; must float to all work areas within the facility if called upon to do so.
Working Conditions
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Ongoing interaction with clients, personnel and the general public. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment.
The incumbent must posses and maintain sufficient strength, agility, endurance and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in this duty statement.
