Placer County Water Agency encompasses the entire, 1,500-square-mile boundary of Placer County, ranging from the rim of the Sacramento Valley on the west to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe on the east. The Agency is headquartered in Auburn and carries out a broad range of responsibilities including water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of irrigation water and drinking water, production of hydroelectric power and watershed stewardship across Placer County. ASSOCIATE ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL
$111,854 - $142,756 annually, DOQ, plus excellent benefits

PCWA is seeking qualified candidates to perform professional and technical engineering work for water and power systems. Incumbents manage a broad range of projects through planning, design, construction and implementation, including startup and testing activities. Depending on the engineering specialty hired, the incumbent will be responsible for electrical engineering projects comprised of electrical, communications and control improvements for water and power systems and/or engineering projects for water treatment plants, equipment and processes, pipelines, canals, control systems and pumping facilities. Our ideal candidate for appointment as an Associate Engineer – Electrical will possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field and four years of professional electrical engineering experience with operations related to water and/or power systems, and/or electrical process and control systems. Registration as a Professional Electrical Engineer in the State of California is required. Our ideal candidate for appointment as an Associate Engineer will possess a Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering or a related field and four years of professional civil or mechanical engineering experience with water and/or power systems and related operations.
