Welcome to the Department of Human Resources The mission of the Department of Human Resources is to provide leadership in the development, implementation, and administration of sound human resource policies, procedures, and programs which support the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians. The goal is to be responsive to the changing needs, including employees, management, employee benefits and other Picayune Rancheria related entities, while advancing the strategic goals and interests of the Picayune Rancheria. The HR Department assists employees in understanding these benefits and offers assistance in enrollment or completing the appropriate forms. Whether you are newly hired or nearing retirement, the HR Department is available to answer your benefit questions, assist you in resolving benefit issues, and provide you with information to make informed benefit choices. Labor Relations The HR Department provides the Picayune Rancheria Tribal Government Agencies with support and offers recommendations along policy guidelines on how to manage their human resources effectively and efficiently and to be responsible for documenting, developing and implementing policies, procedures and mandates that support the Picayune Rancheria. This includes taking a leadership role in administering, grievance handling, discipline, performance evaluations and benefits. Employment Services We are always looking for top-quality people to join our staff. That’s why Tribal members are encouraged to apply for any open positions as they become available. All positions are first posted internally for ten days and open to all Tribal Members and current Employees. If the position is not filled within the first ten days, the position will be opened to the general public. Chukchansi Tribal Member preference does apply for all employment opportunities. The HR Department provides consultative services to the Picayune Rancheria community in the areas of recruitment, search and hire, classification and compensation. The HR Department collaborates with hiring departments to address organizational changes as well as current and future staffing requirements; advises departments on recruitment strategies designed to develop a diversified workforce; develops and updates existing job specifications and conducts position audits; advises administrators on various compensation issues; and provides guidance in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
