Food Research Managers
Food Research Managers needed by our Fresno, CA facility to: Oversee development of new food products and research processes; Direct the design and execution of food product experiments (laboratory and plant level); Establish and implement food research departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures; Create and monitor food research department budget; Develop and implement sustainability programs to improve solid and water waste management and to measure, monitor and reduce energy use and the related greenhouse gas emissions; Supervise employees including selection, training, and evaluation. Travel required inside the U.S. 2 to 3 days per month. Requirements: Must have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Food Science and 2 years’ experience in the following job functions as a food research scientist or in any related occupational title: Developing new or improved ways of developing, processing, packaging, storing finished food products; Adopting and using innovative diagnostic tools, processing technologies and ingredient technologies to improve food product consistency and functionality; Designing and executing food product experiments (laboratory and plant level), defining operational conditions, conducting trials, preparing results for review; Conducting shelf-life testing of food products; Selecting raw materials and equipment, managing commissioning of new equipment for food product research and testing; Providing technical leadership in the area of food product ingredient technology, with a focus on stabilization, processing, and packaging.
