Bioinformatics Scientist
The Shmulevich lab at the Institute for Systems Biology (ISB) is seeking an Experienced Research Scientist / Bioinformatics Scientist and a Bioinformatics Scientist.
These roles will contribute to various ongoing NCI-funded projects on cancer genomics. Specifically, the successful applicant will work with an interdisciplinary team of computational biologists, bioinformatics scientists, and clinical researchers to:
- Integrate and analyze genomic data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the Genomic Data Analysis Network (GDAN) with a focus on miRNA expression and regulation, and/or
- Leverage heterogeneous cancer genomics data for drug sensitivity prediction and development of human cancer therapeutics as part of the Cancer Target Discovery and Development (CTD2) consortium.
The work involves participation in and contribution to these larger projects through multi-site collaborations.
