Outside Sales Representative
Magnetech Industrial Services, Inc. a subsidiary of IES InfraStructure Solutions is searching for an Outside Sales Representative for our Visalia, California facility in the specific areas of Fresno, Los Angeles and or San Francisco.
Primary Responsibility:
Responsible for developing and executing sales plans, implementing and managing individual sales objectives, forecasting, creating alternate sales channels, and building the communications/support for a results-oriented and customer-focused sales organization. Knowledge of and experience with electric motors and electric motor repair for a variety of industrial electric rotating equipment including AC/DC motors up to 20,000hp; motor generators; wound rotor motors; Servo motors, variable frequency drives; DC drives and gear reducers is a plus.
Key Duties/Accountabilities:
- Develop strategic business relationships with new and existing customers that lead to significant customer activities.
- Coordinate all sales activity for designated territories.
- Prepare sales plans to be consistent with the company vision and to achieve company goals.
- Monitor and adjust plans as necessary and report results to management.
- Working with product managers, developing and implementing pricing strategies.
- Continuously communicate with manager.
- Drive revenue-producing activities such as: qualifying, proactively managing target accounts and cultivating professional senior level relationships with new and existing accounts that lead to significant business opportunities for Magnetech.
- Work closely with customers to understand their business intention and/or dilemma.
- Assist in the development/preparation of customer quotations.
- Assist in the development of business presentations for customers.
- Maintain a professional attitude when representing the company during phone, or personal contact with customers, outside vendors, and/or service providers, etc.
- Document/report all customer complaints to quality department. Make every effort within your sphere of influence to resolve the complaint immediately.
- Advocate and follow all quality, safety and environmental procedures and report any and all noncompliance.
Measures of Success:
- Sales adequately meet or exceed budgetary goals.
- On-time completion of quote(s).
- Advancement into new markets or additional new customers.
Recommended Position
Requirements: This position requires an individual experienced in business or sales. To be considered, a candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in business administration, and/or seven- (7) years experience in business/sales.
The position demands an individual who is hard working, detail oriented, computer skills in Excel and Word and have excellent customer interface experience. In addition, individual must have excellent sales, oral, and written communication skills, and the ability to move from concepts to concrete expression of ideas. Demonstrated manager and team skills are also critical, as some development and ongoing projects involve teams of individuals from different backgrounds within the organization.
