Job Summary:

Conducts interviews, gathers, researches and analyzes data to develop and execute content strategies for new and existing websites. Keeps projects on track and on budget. Maintains editorial standards, accuracy and quality of all content across varying Web properties.

  • Gathers, researches and analyzes data to develop and execute content strategies for new and existing websites. Keeps projects on track and on budget. Maintains editorial standards, accuracy and quality of all content across varying Web properties.
  • Uses experiences and research to influence stakeholders to optimize digital content and assesses, reviews and approves digital content for FIU websites.
  • Measures content quality and sets standards while promoting best guides, template and other Web-related deliverables

 

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of work experience in digital design/publication agency environments as content strategist, copywriter, or an editorial related field.

 
Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a role involved with updating website content with a preference for similar experience in higher education. This includes a solid understanding of UX and content design and experience with content management systems like Cascade or WordPress and image-editing tools like Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of UX best practices.
  • Ability to develop successful content strategies.
  • Ability to draft and edit content.
  • Understanding the importance of accessibility and 508/ADA compliance.
  • Experience with presenting to small and large groups.
  • Basic HTML and image-editing skills.
