Yacht Engineer (Fort Lauderdale/FT)
Yacht Engineer (Ft. Lauderdale/FT) - Maintain basic engineering of various propulsion systems, including Gasoline and Diesel inboard and outboard motors, for vessels up to 80 ft. in length. Monitor, troubleshoot and repair refrigeration/AC, plumbing, electrical/electronic systems, wiring and hydraulics. Maintain ship sanitation systems. Create and timely execute maintenance plans. Must demonstrate knowledge of diesel systems and yacht refits, including cosmetic and mechanical work. While the majority of work will be performed in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, candidate must have the ability to travel internationally 10% of the year to perform engineering tasks on client vessels located in various locations throughout the Caribbean and in the Mediterranean seas. Position requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in yacht engineering, marine navigation and working with yacht captains and owners. Must possess STCW safety training and an internationally recognized captain’s license (MCA).
