American River Psychiatric Health Facility
Our 16-bed acute care unit assists adults experiencing a mental health crisis by providing a safe, secured, comfortable setting and ready access to psychiatric and social services. This intense program is focused on returning those we serve to a less restrictive environment, linking them with resources, addressing any medication challenges, and teaching skills for managing difficult events and experiences.

Facility: American River Psychiatric Health Facility
Status: P/T & ON CALL
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/ Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) provides direct nursing care to the clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable client care standards, within their scope of practice. The Nurse will provide direction to non-licensed personnel in providing direct client care and operation of the unit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous psychiatric experience preferred.
- Valid CA nursing License and CPR.
- First Aid Certification Required.
- Need to be flexible and dependable with an excellent attendance history.
- Pass fingerprint and physical clearance.
- Work well under pressure and with constant interruptions.
Duties:
Day to day functions of nursing activities; supervise assigned staff; provides nursing care for clients; administer medications and chart accordingly; supervise use of restraints; communicate clearly with staff, clients, doctors, visitors; other duties as assigned.
Full time/Part time/On Call positions available for all shifts. Health benefits offered for FT positions - salary starts at $23.32/hour.

Shift: FT/PT/ON CALL
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma/GED, 2 years clinical experience in an acute psychiatric or residential setting preferred, valid CA driver's license required; able to pass fingerprint process and physical.
Duties:
Support clients in completing activities of daily living, provide groups, prompt for medications and meals, provide medication supervision support, observe and assess client behaviors and interactions, intervene on escalating behaviors, work within the team to discuss and implement plans for client services. Must have good time management skills and documentation skills.
FT/PT/OC positions available for AM/PM/NOC shifts at residential and acute facility; starting pay is $14.25/hr. Health benefits offered for FT positions.
