Job Fair Thursday, May 9, 2019 Orientation Starts at 1:00 PM Location: Courtyard Fresno 140 E. Shaw Avenue Fresno, CA 93710 (559) 221-6000. Clipper Seafoods will be conducting in-person interviews for work as a COMMERCIAL FISHERMAN aboard longline vessels in Alaska. Clipper Representatives will give a briefing and show a video explaining the work environment in Alaska. Those who do not attend the briefing will not be interviewed. Position: COMMERCIAL FISHERMAN / COOK Clipper Seafoods, Ltd. (“CSL”) currently operates six catcher processor vessels using hook and line gear, primarily in the Bering Sea, and has been in business for twenty-five years. CSL sells its harvest, primarily Pacific cod, black cod (sablefish) and Greenland turbot, on a worldwide basis. CSL also purchases and sells fish harvested by third parties. Commercial Fishermen are responsible for the handling, panning and packing of all product. Although this is the starting point for people entering the commercial fishing industry, it is a demanding, fast paced job which requires physical fitness and attention to detail.
