Drivers may receive prearranged transportation assignments or respond to radio transmitted calls describing transportation/assistance activities. Successful completion of a City-paid medical evaluation is a condition of employment. Extensive background checks including a Homeland Security background check will be conducted.

Assistant Inventory Control Dispatch Technician
$4628 - $5633/month
Under general supervision, the Assistant Inventory Control/Dispatch Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Utilities Inventory Control System. An employee in this class is responsible for assisting in the operation of the Utilities warehouse by controlling and tracking the flow of materials and equipment via the Utilities computer-based maintenance management system. This employee will assist Utilities supervisors, crew leaders, the Purchasing Department, and vendors with coordination of materials, equipment, and custom-designed technical items used for Utilities maintenance and operations. Work also involves responsibility for maintaining radio contact with Public Works Department personnel in order to relay telephone requests and complaints from the general public to appropriate supervisors and/or field crews and provide technical support from microfilm and utility charts. The duties of this employee are usually performed with considerable independence under the supervision of the Utilities Finance Manager or designee. The employee's work is reviewed through conferences, reports, and on the basis of service, results achieved, and other established performance evaluation criteria.
