Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment from manufacturers such as John Deere, Komatsu, Ford, and Chevy
- Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul any type of diesel engines
- Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
- Perform safety inspections on all types of vehicle
- Keep shop area clean and tools in good working order
- AC repair and welding
- Perform other related duties as required
Experienced with 90 day inspections on freight liners and Peterbilt, Must have/bring your own tools, Class A Hazmat is a plus. Shop hours run from 6am to 4:30pm with half-days on Saturday based on alternating schedules.
