Hourly/Non-Exempt Grade: Salary grade based upon an applicant's experience at hiring and allows for progression within the position. The grade of the position for each branch is determined by office portfolio size and employee skills/experience. Contact the Human Resources Director.

Job summary:
Responsible for providing administrative support for all mortgage loan closing activities. Prepares preliminary, revised and final closing disclosures. Prepares and reviews closing documents and reports, schedules closing appointments with title companies, and assists customers with questions. Performs final preparation and audit of all documents needed for closing. Provides support to Mortgage Operations personnel and distributes loan files to related departments within the Bank. Reviews closed files and forwards documents to shipping and funding personnel.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Assumes responsibility for providing effective administrative support for mortgage loan closings.
a. Accurate preparation of preliminary, revised and final Closing Disclosures.
b. Prepares appropriate documents for customers in accordance with loan type programs. Calculates closing figures.
c. Reviews all closing documents for completeness and accuracy including title reports and lock confirmations.
d. Schedules closing appointments with title companies.
e. Ensures compliance with underwriting conditions.
f. Underscores loans for disbursement after recording.
g. Obtains and signs off closing conditions.
2. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective and professional business relationships with customers.
a. Addresses customers' requests and questions promptly and courteously.
b. Informs customers of Bank loan policies and closing procedures.
c. Researches and retrieves information from closed loans.d. Maintains the Bank's professional reputation.
3. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and communication with Bank personnel and with management.
a. Answers questions and assists Mortgage Loan personnel with questions that may arise before, during, and after loan closings.
b. Distributes loan information including points paid, FHA servicing, funding, and shipping data to appropriate departments.
c. Assists area personnel as needed.d. Attends meetings as required.
e. Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
4. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
a. Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
b. Performs related clerical functions as necessary.
c. Keeps informed regarding policy and procedure changes.
d. Actively and professionally cross sells Bank services.

Education / Experience:
a) High School diploma or equivalent
b) 1 to 2 years experience in loan processing
c) Understanding of the bank policies and procedures
d) Service-Plus Certified
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
a) Understanding of mortgage loan processing functions including FHA, VA, and conventional lending
b) Knowledge of mortgage related requirements and procedures
c) Good verbal and public relations skills
d) Strong typing abilities
e) Good basic math skills
f) Able to use related computer applications
g) Good organizational, analytical and communication skills
Working Conditions / Environment / Potential Hazards:
- Must be able to work in a fast paced working environment- May be necessary to work extended hours- Periodic travel required
Physical Requirements:
- Able to sit or stand for an extended period of time- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
